Chapter 190: Chapter 190: I'm a Good Person [10]

Qiqi had just promised Lu Wei that she would see him often and wouldn't disappear without a word, but soon someone came to break that promise—Rong Yi arrived.

He appeared in the guest room with a "whoosh," materializing out of thin air, suddenly, walking through the wall. Luckily, Lu Wei and Hu An were both facing Qiqi's bedside, so only Gu Qiqi witnessed this miraculous sight.

Her mouth opened slightly as she quickly processed the shock, then called out, "Rong Yi."

Her tone carried surprise, along with relief after a long period of worry.

Rong Yi was here, standing right in front of her—not arrested by the police, not injured, and likely not having hurt anyone else. That meant she could finally relax.

The laughter in the room abruptly stopped. Lu Wei and Hu An turned in surprise to see the man who had appeared out of nowhere just a few steps away.

Hu An's face was full of astonishment, while Lu Wei's expression held more wariness.

"Qiqi, I'm here to take you home." Rong Yi leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his tone indifferent, but his eyes were sharp.

His long hair was tied into a ponytail that fell to his waist, gleaming with a golden luster in the sunset.

"Oh, um, okay." Qiqi immediately threw off the covers, ready to get up.

But Lu Wei stepped forward and pressed her down. "Qiqi, you're still sick. You can't go out in the wind right now. You promised me you'd stay at my place for a few days."

Qiqi felt torn—though Lu Wei's hospitality was hard to refuse, now that Rong Yi had come to pick her up, wouldn't it be better to recover at home? She didn't mind staying here, but Rong Yi had never gotten along with her senior brother, so she figured it was best to take Rong Yi and leave quickly.

So she declined, "Senior brother, no need, right? I feel much better now. It's more suitable to recover at home..."

Lu Wei's brow furrowed, and a hint of melancholy flickered across his face. "Qiqi, don't go."

Hu An glanced between the two by the bed and the stranger by the wall, sensing something off. He asked, "Young master, who is this..."

Lu Wei introduced him, "That's Qiqi's cousin, Mr. Rong Yi."

Hu An was delighted, thinking Qiqi had found a relative. He eagerly extended his hand to Rong Yi. "So you're Qiqi's family! Come, sit with us!"

Rong Yi wasn't impressed, though, because hearing Hu An call Lu Wei "young master," he assumed Hu An was on Lu Wei's side. Without even glancing at Uncle Hu, he coldly stared at Lu Wei. "I'm not her cousin. I'm Qiqi's boyfriend."

Ah...

Hu An withdrew his hand, looking awkwardly between the two, unsure what was going on.

Lu Wei raised an eyebrow. "Uncle Hu, please excuse us. I have something to discuss with them."

Uncle Hu tactfully left.

With only the two men left in the room, the atmosphere turned tense. Qiqi shrank back into the covers fearfully, feeling the pressure drop, like a storm was brewing.

"What did you just say?" Lu Wei asked.

"I said—Qiqi is my girlfriend. We officially confirmed our relationship this morning." Rong Yi crossed his arms, speaking slowly, word by word. "Now, I'm taking my girlfriend home. You're not going to stop me, are you?"

Lu Wei's face turned pale in an instant. He looked at Qiqi in disbelief, his eyes full of questioning.

Qiqi flinched—*Really, why drag me into your fight...*
