Chapter 28: Chapter 28: It's All That Damn Girl's Fault!

"Morning! You're up!" Qiqi spotted the Wolf King standing at the door and cheerfully greeted him. "Hurry up and wash your face, then have breakfast! The meat buns are warming in the pot, and the milk's in the fridge!"

The Wolf King paused, slightly taken aback. "What are you doing?"

"Clearing out the trash! I've scheduled the renovation company to come this afternoon, so I need to move all this stuff out by morning."

Gu Qiqi wiped her sweat, her slightly chubby baby face flushed pink from exertion, like a fragrant, dewy peach.

"Didn't we agree I'd handle the moving?" The Wolf King's tone carried a hint of reproach.

"Forget it! You just got over being sick, better not do heavy labor."

Qiqi shook her head, revealing two adorable dimples—though she still held a grudge about him wrecking her roof, she couldn't bring herself to mistreat a patient, not when she was studying medicine!

"I should be able to clear out some of this trash by morning, and leave the rest to the renovation company. I already called them earlier, and they agreed to lower the fee a bit," she said.

"On the condition that you clear out part of it yourself?" The Wolf King felt a lump in his throat.

"Yeah, just half of it!" Qiqi surveyed her progress with a sense of accomplishment. "I started working at 5 a.m.! I've already cleared out quite a bit!"

The Wolf King was furious and shouted, "Who told you to do this? Why didn't you wake me up?"

"I know you went to bed late last night, studying hard." Gu Qiqi scratched her head, a bit embarrassed. "Actually, you don't have to work so hard reading anymore! Those exam papers are too tricky, and they won't test you again! You've already learned really fast!"

Her words were sincere, but the Wolf King only grew angrier! He stormed over, snatched the shovel from her hand, and barked, "Who's talking about that! Stop right now!"

Gu Qiqi was stunned. "What's wrong with you now?"

With a clatter, the shovel was tossed into the yard by the Wolf King. "You, stand aside!" he ordered.

Without another word, he pushed Qiqi into the yard, walked to the living room entrance, planted his feet, gathered his energy, and thrust both palms flat toward the rubble-strewn floor—

"Whoosh..."

A sudden gale swept across the ground, followed by a cacophony of clattering from the living room as dust and debris flew everywhere...

"A sandstorm?"

Gu Qiqi gasped, quickly covering her eyes to avoid the stinging sand.

After a moment, the howling wind subsided, and Qiqi lowered her hands to find the Wolf King had already withdrawn his arms.

Now, the living room door stood wide open, and the once-jumbled piles of rubble had instantly turned to powder—the ceiling, bricks, broken furniture, and appliances... all vanished without a trace. On the floor, only heaps of oddly colored dust remained...

"What did you..."

Qiqi's mouth fell open as she pointed at the living room, speechless.

"Didn't you want to clear the trash? Now, you just need to sweep out the dust!"

The Wolf King glanced at her, struggling to steady his breathing as he cycled his inner energy through several rounds, then regained his calm, composed expression.

He hadn't wanted to use that much force, but it was all this brat's fault!

"But..."

Qiqi opened her mouth, a chill creeping up her spine—thank goodness she'd decided last night not to oppose him anymore, or she'd never know how she'd die, oh my...

"Go get my breakfast ready!" The Wolf King walked into the yard, picked up the shovel, and pushed the cart to the door. "I'll handle the rest."
