Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Keep It to Yourself

Lu Wei's expression was sincere. "It's fine, Qiqi. Don't refuse! The people around you are too dangerous, and I'm worried. I think you need it more than I do right now."

Qiqi shook her head like a rattle-drum. "No, no! Absolutely not! Rong Yi won't harm me!"

If Rong Yi had intended to hurt anyone, she would have died hundreds of times over by now and wouldn't be standing here alive. So trusting Rong Yi was a must, unwavering and firm.

Seeing his persuasion fail, Lu Wei sighed and had no choice but to tell the butler to put the ring away first.

The butler immediately snapped the lid shut, looking visibly relieved—how infuriating!

Qiqi pouted and decided not to stoop to his level.

Lu Wei had the butler arrange a car to take Qiqi and Rong Yi home, adding that his illness had nothing to do with them and telling Zhou Yi not to make things difficult for them.

Qiqi had been in the hospital room for a while, and the anesthetic in her system was gradually wearing off. Following her senior brother's arrangement, she went downstairs with Rong Yi.

The car drove out of the Lu family villa, turned onto the main road, but was blocked by a Rolls-Royce in the middle of the street.

Zhou Yi was already waiting for them inside the car.

His fox-like eyes narrowed slightly, his expression calm and unreadable, revealing neither joy nor anger at the moment. His dark suit, however, accentuated a cold, stern, and forceful demeanor.

Qiqi felt a bit nervous. She got out of the car and asked, "Mr. Zhou, is there something you need?"

Zhou Yi said, "You're about to leave without explaining things clearly?"

"What?"

"Why did Lu Wei have an attack? What exactly did you do to him?"

A pang of guilt struck Qiqi's heart. "My cousin and senior brother had a minor conflict, but my cousin didn't really do anything..."

He truly hadn't done much—just lightly poked with his finger. Could that really trigger a heart condition?

Qiqi found it strange in her heart, but she wouldn't show it in front of an outsider.

Zhou Yi snorted coldly. "Just a minor conflict? Lu Wei won't say it, and you don't plan to tell me either? I know Lu Wei doesn't want me to trouble you, and I don't intend to blame you—but you've seen his condition. His body was perfectly fine before; it was your provocation that caused his heart attack!"

Though he said he wasn't blaming them, his expression suggested otherwise.

Qiqi felt guilty hearing this, but Rong Yi sneered from the side. "What do you mean by that? Trying to pin the blame on us? I haven't settled the score with you about your sister yet, and you're here playing the victim and accusing us first!"

"You..." Zhou Yi's pupils contracted, clearly angered; but for his sister's sake, he swallowed his anger.

Rong Yi lifted his noble chin. "If you want to make things hard for us, we're not necessarily afraid of you!"

"Is that so?"

Zhou Yi snorted coldly, staring at Rong Yi with a gaze that, needless to say, was sharp as knives and blazing with fire; of course, Rong Yi immediately shot back without any courtesy.

The two men stood in proud confrontation, the surrounding air pressure suddenly dropping, as if the air crackled with electric currents...

Standing to the side, Qiqi felt like her skin was about to suffer severe burns from those two stares.

She quickly stepped in to smooth things over. "Um... this is all a misunderstanding! Mr. Zhou, my cousin didn't mean it that way..."

As she explained to Zhou Yi, she glared at Rong Yi, silently telling him to swallow those even more arrogant words.
