Chapter 101: Chapter 101: I Am Her Husband

Shen Qi knew her marital status was probably impossible to hide anymore.

She also didn’t know if she could smoothly leave in the future once her marriage to He Yining was made public. The whole world might not know how often the Olympics were held, but no one didn’t know the He family. Once her identity as the Second Young Madam of the He family was revealed, she feared she’d live under everyone’s watchful eyes for the rest of her life.

At dinner, the group was led to a massive restaurant. The entire restaurant was suspended between mountain valleys, pulled by giant mechanical arms, with thigh-thick reinforced concrete pillars below for stability. Except for the floor, the whole place was encased in thick, shockproof glass. Dining here offered a view of all the mountaintop scenery. It was not only breathtakingly beautiful but also a huge visual shock. So when everyone stood in the restaurant, all their mouths hung wide open.

Chen Chen looked incredulous and said, “Oh my god, is this the legendary Sky Pavilion? I heard the minimum per person here is no less than fifty thousand! Xiao Qi, who exactly did you meet that’s so generous to treat us to dinner here?”

Shen Qi sighed. “You’ll find out soon enough.”

“Why so mysterious?” Chen Chen nudged Shen Qi with her elbow. “Don’t tell me it’s your husband!”

“What if I said yes?” Shen Qi looked at Chen Chen helplessly.

“Hahaha… stop joking!” Chen Chen laughed loudly, completely unimpressed. “Xiao Qi, I didn’t know you’d developed a sense of humor!”

What humor?

She was telling the truth, and no one believed her!

The other classmates also chimed in, saying Shen Qi’s friend was incredibly wealthy, almost inhumanly so. After all, there were over twenty classmates here, and the meal alone would cost over a million! Who could pull off such a grand gesture?

Everyone found their favorite spots to sit, enjoying the view outside and sipping fine tea worth tens of thousands per pot. Life couldn’t get better than this!

Shen Qi pulled out her phone and sent He Yining a message: “This surprise is huge.”

He Yining looked at the message on his phone and the corner of his mouth lifted slightly.

This wasn’t the surprise—just a little extra.

He Yining asked without looking up, “Are the documents ready?”

“Yes, once the Second Young Madam signs, it’s done.” Xiao Chun stood respectfully with his hands at his sides. “But will she accept it?”

“She will.” He Yining gazed at the rapidly retreating scenery outside, his long fingers tapping lightly on the desk. He couldn’t wait to see his little wife.

As soon as Shen Qi sat down, someone immediately brought her a cup of yogurt.

Chen Chen curiously leaned in. “Why do we all have tea, but Xiao Qi gets yogurt?”

The server replied respectfully, “This is specially prepared for the Second Young Madam.”

Second Young Madam?

Everyone’s eyes shot toward Shen Qi.

Chen Chen couldn’t help but turn to Shen Qi. “Xiao Qi, what’s going on?”

“I can explain the yogurt, but as for the rest, can I say I’m just as confused?” Shen Qi gave a wry smile. “This yogurt, it’s…”

Before she could finish, a sudden rush of footsteps sounded outside.

The next second, the restaurant door swung open.

Two rows of bodyguards stood on either side, bowing respectfully.

Everyone’s attention shifted from Shen Qi to the entrance.

At that moment, a tall, imposing, and supremely dignified man walked in with an air of noble grace. The moment he entered, he utterly crushed the looks of every man and woman present. The men were okay, but the women’s gazes locked onto him like a thunderbolt. They almost wanted to scream!

He Yining!

It was actually He Yining!

Oh my god, he was ten thousand times more handsome in person than in photos!

Those signature phoenix eyes were absolutely mesmerizing!

He Yining swept his phoenix eyes across the room and instantly found Shen Qi in the crowd. He strode over to her, saw the yogurt in her hand, and his gaze softened even more. He reached out and ruffled her hair. “Still not finished?”

Shen Qi stared at him blankly. “Do you want some?”

“If you feed me, I’ll eat it.” He Yining’s brows curved as he looked at Shen Qi, his eyes seeing only her, ignoring everyone else.

Sure enough, Shen Qi scooped up a spoonful and offered it to him. He Yining, right in front of everyone, bent down and ate the yogurt she fed him.

This scene stunned everyone present.

All mouths hung open in disbelief.

What was the relationship between Shen Qi and the president of the He Corporation?

Why did they seem so familiar?

Why would the business tycoon, the workplace tyrant, treat her so gently?

Han Fei was the most shaken. He couldn’t help asking, “Xiao Qi, you and him…”

Shen Qi nodded at Han Fei.

He Yining finally deigned to shift his gaze from Shen Qi to others. He gave Han Fei a cold glance, then smirked seductively. “I hear you’re all Xiao Qi’s classmates. Sorry, Xiao Qi never used to socialize with classmates, so you didn’t know we were married.”

Married?

Those two words exploded like a bomb in the crowd!

Shen Qi covered her face. Great, there was no way she’d ever shake off the He family label now. Wherever she went, she’d be branded with it. Being called the former Second Young Madam of the He family was probably inevitable…

“Allow me to introduce myself. I’m He Yining, Shen Qi’s husband.” He Yining’s phoenix eyes lingered on Han Fei.

Oh? So this was the pretty boy who chased Xiao Qi for four years?

Hmph, with looks like that, what right did he have to pursue Xiao Qi?

Han Fei was devastated. “How is that possible? Xiao Qi, this…”

Shen Qi took a deep breath and nodded. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to hide it from you. It’s just, just…”

He Yining suddenly leaned in and tapped her nose affectionately, finishing for her. “You’re too much. Being the Second Young Madam of the He family isn’t that big a deal, no need to hide it. Even if you married into a wealthy family, your classmates wouldn’t look down on you for it. You’re overthinking.”

The classmates all broke out in a cold sweat.

Who would dare look down on the Second Young Madam of the He family?

Who?

Did they want to die?

Han Fei’s face turned pale, and his body swayed.

Shen Qi gave a bitter smile.

Well, there went any chance of explaining herself later.

Seeing Shen Qi’s bitter expression, a triumphant glint flashed in He Yining’s phoenix eyes.

Little rabbit, I’d like to see how you escape now. Now the whole world knows you’re my woman. Without my say-so, who would dare be with you?

Chen Chen was so stunned she couldn’t snap out of it until now. She finally asked, “Xiao Qi, you’re really married?”

Shen Qi nodded helplessly. “Yes…”

The classmates’ gazes toward Shen Qi shifted from shock and envy to awe.

The mistress of the He family’s third generation.

What kind of status was that?

Xiao Xia walked over. “President, Second Young Madam, dinner is ready and can be served anytime.”

“Alright, let’s begin.” He Yining smiled lightly and said to the others, “Everyone, please sit down and don’t be shy.”

Watching the elegantly noble He Yining sit side by side with Shen Qi, everyone still felt a sense of unreality.

The others sat down, but Han Fei remained standing, dazed.

Chen Chen couldn’t stand it and pulled him down. Han Fei finally snapped out of it.

He sat there gloomily, silent.

He hadn’t been a match for Zhan Bo before, and now he was no match for He Yining.

He had lost, utterly and completely.

He Yining only needed one appearance to crush all his efforts.

He admitted he couldn’t compete with He Yining.

The dishes were soon served one by one.

Each person had their own small table, like the separate dining system of the Han and Tang dynasties in ancient China.

As they sat on the floor, they realized the view from this angle was several times more beautiful.

The restaurant’s glass panels opened, and a gentle mountain breeze blew in, refreshing everyone.

The exquisite, luxurious food before them was a masterpiece of culinary art.

No wonder the prices were so high—you got what you paid for.

These dishes were almost too beautiful to eat, making you want to take them home as art.

“Like it here?” He Yining looked up at Shen Qi.

Shen Qi didn’t understand his meaning but nodded.

“Good.” He Yining nodded at Xiao Chun, who stood to the side. Xiao Chun immediately took a document from a bodyguard, bowed, and handed it to Shen Qi, along with a pen he uncapped and offered with both hands.

“What’s this?” Shen Qi looked at He Yining, utterly confused.

“Sign it.” He Yining’s phoenix eyes were full of smiles. “It’s rare for you to tell me you like a place.”

Shen Qi was still bewildered. Seeing Xiao Chun still holding the pen out, she didn’t want to keep him waiting, so she took the pen and signed her name where Xiao Chun indicated.

Seeing her sign, He Yining’s smile grew even brighter.

“Congratulations, Second Young Madam. South Mountain now belongs to you.” Xiao Chun beamed as he took back the document and pen, looking extremely pleased.

Everyone eating suddenly looked up at Shen Qi.

Shen Qi was baffled. “Huh?”

Xiao Chun continued to explain, “The document you just signed is a property transfer. South Mountain is part of the He Corporation’s assets, and everything here belongs to the president. Now the president has given the entire South Mountain to you. From today onward, you are the owner of South Mountain and hold full management rights over the He family’s resort.”
