Wen Qi watched as Torterra and Bulbasaur played happily together, not wanting to disturb them, and quietly slipped away. Before leaving, he sent a telepathic message to Torterra, telling it to take good care of Bulbasaur.
Once outside, he brought the Scizor, which had been keeping watch over the area, into the small world. Wen Qi had noticed earlier that there were far fewer Pokémon around now, likely because the forest incident was mostly resolved. So he felt comfortable taking Scizor away, but just in case, he left Gogoat outside.
Scizor was curious why Wen Qi was bringing it to the small world so late. Was it no longer needed outside?
Wen Qi didn’t hide anything. He explained that he might need to venture into the inner forest soon and needed Scizor to boost its strength. When Scizor heard about the forest and the potential danger, and that it was needed, its fighting spirit instantly ignited.
Seeing Scizor so eager for battle, Wen Qi felt deeply gratified. After a moment’s thought, he noticed that the shop currently had a bottle of Cyan-Grade Potential Enhancement Potion. He bought it on the spot, intending to use it on Scizor. Wen Qi wanted to test if he could raise Scizor’s potential to Light Blue.
He also exchanged 30,000 points for two Bug-type Essences and one Steel-type Essence. Adding the Life Essence, which cost 20,000 points, this upgrade for Scizor would total 100,000 points. In truth, Wen Qi had considered whether to spend 100,000 points on a Genesect Bug-type Legendary Blessing for Scizor. After all, Scizor’s typing matched Genesect’s perfectly, making it ideal. But he decided against it. For one, it was better to save the best for last to maximize benefits. For another, absorbing a Legendary Blessing took a long time, and Wen Qi felt he was running short on time.
Wen Qi told Scizor to prepare on the side, then pulled out a pile of high-tier Bug- and Steel-type Perfect Energy Blocks and placed them in front of Scizor, urging it to eat plenty to replenish its energy. Soon, Wen Qi had everything ready, and Scizor had eaten its fill.
In Wen Qi’s hand lay a bottle of Cyan-Grade Potential Enhancement Potion, radiating a mysterious glow. The potion was a warm, deep cyan, as if brimming with endless power and secrets. The bottle’s surface was adorned with intricate patterns that seemed to flow slowly under the light, hinting at its extraordinary nature. The liquid inside was restless, occasionally rippling with tiny waves, each fluctuation suggesting an impending monumental change.
When Wen Qi handed this precious potion to Scizor, it seemed to sense its uniqueness. Its already sharp eyes grew even brighter, fixed on the potion with anticipation. As the potion was slowly poured into Scizor’s mouth, something miraculous began to unfold.
At first, a faint cyan glow spread across Scizor’s body, wrapping around it like silken threads. Its pincers started to tremble slightly, as if a powerful force was gathering within. Then, Scizor’s shell began to change. Subtle patterns emerged on its once-hard carapace, resembling mysterious runes that shimmered with strange light. As the glow intensified on Scizor, Wen Qi’s eyes widened more and more, filled with awe.
“It’s starting to work!” he thought excitedly, focusing even more intently on every minute change in Scizor. Its pincers gradually transformed, becoming larger and more powerful, their serrations sharper, as if they could tear through anything with ease. When Wen Qi saw the pincers changing and the mysterious patterns appearing on its body, an indescribable thrill surged within him.
“This is incredible—is this what potential enhancement does?” he marveled inwardly, his hopes for the future growing stronger.
As time passed, the light on Scizor grew more dazzling. Its body writhed constantly, as if adapting to this newfound power. Its wings spread wide, their once-transparent membranes now tinged with a cyan radiance, stirring a gentle breeze with each flap. During this enhancement, Scizor seemed to undergo a metamorphosis. Its aura became more powerful and steady, and the already imposing creature now exuded an even greater kingly presence.
As Wen Qi watched Scizor consume the Cyan-Grade Potential Enhancement Potion, his heart was a mix of tension and excitement. His pulse quickened involuntarily, his eyes locked on Scizor, his mind racing with thoughts. He was thrilled at the prospect of witnessing Scizor’s transformation and growth, yet worried about potential mishaps, afraid this rare opportunity might go awry.
“It has to succeed,” he silently prayed, his hands clenching unconsciously, palms slightly sweaty. He could feel his breathing grow rapid, each second of waiting feeling agonizingly long. Throughout the process, Wen Qi’s thoughts churned like boiling water, ideas flooding in. He imagined Scizor’s formidable performance in battle after the upgrade, envisioning it helping him overcome more opponents and achieve greater goals. His eyes shone with determination and resolve, and he silently vowed to nurture this now-stronger Scizor to its fullest.
When the light finally faded, what stood before Wen Qi was a brand-new Scizor. Its body color had deepened to a richer crimson. Its pincers seemed capable of splitting heaven and earth, each movement radiating unparalleled power. Looking at the dramatically transformed Scizor, Wen Qi’s heart swelled with joy and anticipation. He knew this Scizor had entered a whole new realm, and in future battles, it would undoubtedly display even more astonishing strength.
Through the system, Wen Qi saw that Scizor was now Deep Cyan-Grade potential, Level 50 Elite Peak, a quasi-Gym-level Pokémon. All of this was thanks to that miraculous Cyan-Grade Potential Enhancement Potion, which acted like a key unlocking the door to potential, allowing Scizor to take another step forward on the path of power.
After the potential boost, Scizor felt its internal energy depleted and quickly grabbed the Energy Blocks on the ground, devouring them hungrily. Wen Qi urged it to eat more, planning to have it take the Life Essence, Bug Essence, and Steel Essence next, to see if it could push its potential up another grade.
