At this moment, Su Banxia was buried in a pile of documents, working hard. If Pei Shaoze hadn't helped her out so much, she definitely wouldn't have willingly stayed in the office to work overtime. Looking at these completely unnecessary employee records, Su Banxia felt helpless—who could blame her when this was something Pei Shaoze had assigned her to do?
The door suddenly burst open, and a figure stumbled over to her.
"President Pei!"
Su Banxia exclaimed in surprise. Why was he here at this hour?
Pei Shaoze ignored her, walking straight over to her and grabbing her mouse. "What are you doing? Bored?" he said coldly, glaring at the employee records displayed on the screen with anger.
"Didn't you ask me to do this..." Su Banxia stood to the side, looking aggrieved.
Even he knew that doing employee records was a waste of time! At least his brain wasn't completely fried.
"Come with me!" He shut down her computer directly and dragged her out. Su Banxia had no idea what he was up to now, so she had no choice but to follow him obediently.
"President Pei, ease up! You're hurting me!" His grip was so strong that her wrist ached, forcing her to stop him.
Pei Shaoze's hazy mind suddenly cleared, and he let go. "Sorry, Banxia, I hurt you." His tone was unusually gentle, catching Su Banxia off guard. She was just starting to wonder if his brain was broken when a whiff of alcohol hit her nose.
Sure enough, his mind was numbed by alcohol—otherwise, this hot-tempered young master would never be so gentle with her! Looking at his handsome features, Su Banxia couldn't help but swallow nervously. "It's fine, it's fine." She smiled foolishly and followed him downstairs.
In front of the company, Pei Shaoze's sports car, which had just been racing down the road, was now parked quietly at the entrance. When Su Banxia saw his car, she froze. This guy had been drinking, could barely walk straight, and still drove here? What a madman!
Seeing Pei Shaoze heading for the driver's seat, Su Banxia quickly stopped him. He might not care about his life, but she cared about hers! "President Pei, let me drive! You rest, I'll take you home." She snatched the keys from his hand, slipped into the driver's seat, and started the car. Pei Shaoze didn't refuse and opened the passenger door to sit down.
The window rolled down, and the wind sobered Pei Shaoze up a bit. Neither of them spoke, and the car was very quiet. The distance from the company to Pei Shaoze's villa wasn't far, and Su Banxia arrived in no time. Luckily, the security guard at the gate recognized Pei Shaoze's car and let her in without a word.
"President Pei, are you still sober?" Su Banxia stopped the car at the villa entrance and suddenly asked.
"What?" His cold voice came back. It seemed Pei Shaoze was better off with more alcohol numbing him. Su Banxia smiled awkwardly. "President Pei... I forgot which building you're in again."
Most of the villas here looked the same, and now it was nighttime, making it even harder for her to remember where his home was. She really admired the people living here—they might even open the wrong door with their keys one day and not know it!
Pei Shaoze snorted coldly. "You've been here so many times and still can't remember? What can you actually remember?" Seeing his disdainful expression, Su Banxia was sure he had sobered up! She didn't say anything, looking a bit helpless. She really couldn't tell them apart—it wasn't her home, so why bother remembering so clearly?
"Straight ahead, then turn right, third building." Just when she thought Pei Shaoze wouldn't tell her, he suddenly spoke. Su Banxia was delighted and stepped on the gas, driving forward.
The car stopped steadily at the villa entrance. Lately, thanks to Pei Shaoze, she had been driving a lot, and her skills were gradually improving. "President Pei, we're here. Could you lend me the car?" She reminded him, who had arrived but hadn't gotten out yet, while also seeking his permission. Every time she came to his villa, she could never catch a taxi, and she didn't want to stay another night—her two little ones were waiting at home.
Pei Shaoze turned to look at her. "Open the door for me." His tone left no room for refusal. Su Banxia's eyes widened. Did Pei Shaoze not have hands? He wanted her to open the door for him? But seeing his cold face, she decided to do it, considering he had helped her with the Su family. She got out, ready to open his door.
Unexpectedly, as soon as Su Banxia stepped out, Pei Shaoze snatched the keys and opened the door himself, getting out.
"President Pei?" Su Banxia frowned at him, confused about what he meant. Pei Shaoze didn't answer but walked toward her. Su Banxia instinctively stepped back, even hiding her hands behind her, afraid he would grab her and drag her inside again.
But she was wrong. Pei Shaoze didn't intend to drag her at all—he simply lifted her horizontally. Su Banxia struggled, wanting him to put her down, but Pei Shaoze held her tighter. "If you don't want me to take you right here, keep quiet!" he growled, his tone terrifying. Su Banxia fell silent, looking at him with a mix of familiarity and strangeness. So thinking he was gentle when drunk was all an illusion! Him being like a wild animal was the truth.
He threw her roughly onto the bed, and the man in front of her was already impatiently unbuttoning his collar and shirt. Su Banxia was drenched in sweat. Was he going to force himself on her again? "Pei... President Pei..." "Call me Shaoze!" His eyes narrowed, clearly angry. "Shaoze... I... I'll go take a shower first..." She tentatively tried to get up. Pei Shaoze said nothing, as if silently agreeing. Seeing this, Su Banxia quickly ran into the bathroom.
She had almost been devoured by him again. Su Banxia turned on the shower, the sound of water hitting the floor making it seem like she was really bathing. She opened the window and stuck her head out. Luckily, this was only the second floor—not too high! With that thought, she climbed over the window, planning to shimmy down the drainpipe, but she missed her footing and fell straight from the second floor.
"Ah..." A scream came from outside the bathroom, and Pei Shaoze rushed in immediately. No one was inside, but the window was open. He leaned out and saw Su Banxia sitting on the lawn below, wincing in pain. His face darkened. "Su Banxia! Quite capable, aren't you!" he gritted out, veins bulging on his forehead. Su Banxia looked at his terrifying expression, panicked. This was bad.
Someone was carried back into the room by Pei Shaoze and thrown onto the bed again. "Go easy!" she complained to Pei Shaoze, who had tossed her there. Pei Shaoze still had no good expression, glancing at her coldly. "I thought since you dared to jump, you wouldn't be afraid of pain."
