Six years later—
The flight from France had just landed in Yanshi when two little heads popped out of the arrival gate.
"Sweethearts, over here!"
Fang Shiqing waved her arm wildly at the pickup area.
"Godmother!"
A little girl in pink waved back enthusiastically.
"Wow, what adorable kids!"
"So cute—are they twins?"
The airport staff watched the two children walk out one after the other, hearts practically floating in their eyes.
Six years later, Su Banxia set foot in this familiar city again, now with two adorable little ones by her side.
The boy was called Su Hao, and the girl, Su Guoguo.
When Su Banxia walked over, Guoguo and Xiao Hao were already surrounded by a crowd of young women.
"Did you say hello to the sisters?" Su Banxia asked, taking the suitcase from Xiao Hao's hand.
"Yes! The pretty sisters all like me. I even gave each of them a kiss," Su Guoguo said, tilting her face up, looking adorably innocent.
"Guoguo is the best." Su Banxia pinched her little cheek, then glanced at her quiet, reserved son. She silently marveled at how opposite the siblings' personalities were.
Once they were out of the terminal, Fang Shiqing let out a sigh of relief. "I was really afraid you wouldn't come back. Leaving without a word six years ago—you've got some nerve!"
Su Banxia casually slid into the passenger seat. "Yeah, well. But now that I see Xiao Hao and Guoguo so happy, I feel at ease."
"Speaking of which, who's the father of these two kids?" Fang Shiqing glanced in the rearview mirror at the calm Xiao Hao and the bouncing, excited Guoguo. "Your son is way too composed for his age. So mature for such a little guy. I can't imagine what kind of weirdo the father must be."
Su Banxia shot her a look. "A duck weirdo!"
"A what weirdo?"
"I can start work tomorrow. Have you arranged it?" Su Banxia, keeping an eye on the two kids, deliberately changed the subject.
"Oh, no problem. I'm the HR director at Dingsheng Group. With me on it, you can rest easy!" Fang Shiqing then flashed a sly smile. "But you'd better be fully prepared..."
The next day, when Su Banxia arrived at Dingsheng Group, she understood what Fang Shiqing meant by "fully prepared."
The entire front desk was packed, and every single person was a stunning beauty.
They were all dressed to the nines, their perfume wafting from a distance.
Compared to her own black professional suit, wide-rimmed black glasses, and an old-fashioned bun deliberately pinned up, she was utterly inconspicuous.
"Excuse me!"
Fang Shiqing, sharp-eyed, pulled Su Banxia into a corner with a look of shock. "Were you collecting antiques in France? How do you have such outdated clothes?"
Was this the Su Banxia she knew?
She was clearly a natural beauty—why was she dressing herself up as an ugly, frumpy middle-aged woman?
Su Banxia brushed off the hand tugging her sleeve. "I'm here to be a secretary. It's about ability, not a beauty pageant. Why are you so surprised?"
"I am!" Fang Shiqing pointed a finger. "See all those people? They're all here to apply for the CEO's secretary position."
"No way?" Su Banxia turned to look.
Wasn't this a bit over the top?
She had heard of Dingsheng Group's CEO—rumored to be young and capable, decisive and sharp, leading the company to become one of the top financial conglomerates in the country within just a few years.
Not only did domestic media praise him highly, but foreign outlets had also covered him multiple times.
"Get out of my way! If you dirty my clothes, can you even afford to pay for them?"
Fang Shiqing raised an eyebrow toward the source of the voice. "See that? It's not just young girls coming. That Third Miss of the Ye family shows up every day to cause trouble!"
"The Ye family?"
Fang Shiqing gave Su Banxia a knowing look. "Go get rid of her!"
"Me?"
"Yeah. As the CEO's secretary, that's part of your job. Consider it a warm-up before you officially start!"
"Heh. This secretary job is a bit different from what I've done before." Su Banxia smiled faintly and strode over.
