Chapter 146: Chapter 146: Discussing Business

Shen Yunyun explained her needs to Manager Huang.

Manager Huang could barely contain her excitement as she pointed to several garments in front of her and asked, "Which style and size are you looking for? I recommend the A208 model. It’s made from a single piece of silk-cotton blend, so it won’t clump whether machine-washed or hand-washed. The fabric is windproof, has good thermal retention, is sturdy and stain-resistant—if you accidentally get oil or dirt on it, a quick wipe with a wet cloth cleans it right off. The only downside is it looks a bit bulky, but since loose fits are trendy these years, that’s not a big deal."

Shen Yunyun was satisfied with the sample and asked, "Let’s talk about the price."

Manager Huang said, "Sixty."

Shen Yunyun nearly dropped her jaw. This thick cotton coat was only sixty?

In a mall, it would cost at least one hundred fifty. The factory price was just sixty?

Seeing her expression, Manager Huang thought she found it too expensive and quickly explained, "Sixty is the lowest I can go. Any lower, and we’d have no profit. The external market is tough right now, competition is fierce, and we’re not irreplaceable, so there’s no point in playing games. I’m giving you the rock-bottom price."

Her tone was sincere, but no one was a fool—prices could still be negotiated.

"Forty," Tang Yu immediately said.

"Boss Tang, your offer is too low—it cuts into our costs. How about I drop it by two?"

"The styles we want are simple, with no complicated processes. You should be able to produce them efficiently, which saves you costs to some extent."

They began haggling.

Shen Yunyun wasn’t good at bargaining, so that was Tang Yu’s job.

In the end, the price was stuck at one side offering forty-six and the other demanding fifty-five.

In truth, both sides had a bottom line of fifty.

Shen Yunyun said, "Let’s settle at fifty."

Huang Xiaoge pondered for a moment and asked, "How many pieces are you planning to order?"

"Three hundred thousand pieces."

Manager Huang was stunned. She did a quick mental calculation—three hundred thousand pieces meant fifteen million. It was a huge order.

But the chosen style wasn’t novel. Could it sell?

She hesitated and said, "Maybe you should start with a smaller order. If the market responds well, you can add more. Ordering three hundred thousand at once is too risky."

Hearing this, Shen Yunyun laughed and said, "I’m ordering three hundred thousand pieces. If they don’t sell, they’re my loss. Just make them—I won’t default on payment."

Manager Huang replied, "Even so, I hope your business thrives so we can have a long-term partnership. I know the difference between a single feast and regular meals."

Shen Yunyun laughed again. "It won’t be a loss. Three hundred thousand pieces it is. When’s the earliest you can ship?"

"The earliest would be twenty days for the first batch, but we need a thirty percent deposit," Huang Xiaoge said.

The main holdup was material preparation. After receiving the order, they’d have to place orders with upstream companies. If the textile mills had ready fabric, fine; if not, they’d need to rush production.

Once the materials arrived, cutting and sewing would be quick.

Shen Yunyun had already considered this and agreed immediately. "No problem."

The two then negotiated their respective responsibilities, obligations, specific delivery times, and payment terms.

During the negotiations, Tang Yu mostly handled things, while Shen Yunyun only needed to chime in at key moments.
