Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Bullied by Him

Night. In T City of Wu Kingdom, a villa built like a palace. Chu Lingzhi, blindfolded, was led into the luxurious master bedroom on the second floor. With a bang, the door behind her slammed shut. Hearing that sound, it felt as if a hand was gripping her heart, making her panic. She quickly tore off the blindfold. The room was dim, with only faint light filtering through the curtains. Where was this? Why had they brought her here? Suddenly, she froze, staring in terror ahead. A man stood there. A man exuding a suffocating, dangerous aura. He stood like a god who could command everything. In the darkness, his pitch-black eyes fixed on her, sharp and cold as a hawk’s. Chu Lingzhi’s heart trembled. Frightened, she turned to open the door. “Let me out! Let me out now!” She gripped the handle tightly, but no matter how hard she tried, it wouldn’t budge. “Ah…” Suddenly, an arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her into his embrace. A wave of warmth hit her back, and her heart seemed to stop. Chu Lingzhi froze, too scared to move. Hot breath brushed against the back of her neck—a scent of raw masculinity. “Who are you? What do you want?” She held her breath, her voice trembling with tension and a hint of anger. The man behind her leaned down, his cold lips grazing the delicate skin of her neck. His voice was low and deep, his icy tone laced with a hint of malice. “Not bad.” Suddenly, he spun her around and roughly threw her onto the bed. Even though the mattress was soft, the impact left her dizzy. She scrambled up as fast as she could, cursing at the man in the darkness. “Who the hell are you? Why are you doing this to me?” His answer was a sneering, mocking laugh. That sound made Chu Lingzhi’s heart shake like autumn leaves in the wind. A breeze swept in through the window, making the curtains dance. A sliver of faint light flickered across the man’s figure. In that brief glimpse, she caught sight of his strikingly handsome, chiseled face. His eyes were deep and sharp, brimming with dark menace as they fixed on her. Like Satan, he strode step by step toward the bed. That night, Chu Lingzhi endured a devilish torment, a living hell— … When Chu Lingzhi woke up, it was broad daylight. She snapped her eyes open, and the first thing she saw was the dazzling, extravagant crystal chandelier on the ceiling. Her head ached, and the events of the previous night were vivid in her mind. Thinking of that man’s deep, handsome face and those hawk-like eyes, a wave of fear surged from within. She sat up abruptly in bed, glaring at the bruises on her pale arms—marks he had left. Rage flared inside her. She looked around nervously. This was a vast, opulent room. Who was its owner? Why had they dragged her here to humiliate her like this? Just then, the door swung open. She stared at it warily.
