"I think it's pretty good." Nangong Yehen curled his lips, also in favor of staying here for the night.
Chu Lingzhi was taken aback, looking at him with a faint smile, "You want to spend the night here too?"
Nangong Yehen raised an eyebrow, his smile looking like he was asking for a punch, "Why not?"
"Why not?" Chu Lingzhi frowned. "Aren't you afraid of being eaten by wild beasts? I am! You should think about the two little treasures—how can you have the same idea as them?"
Besides, spending the night here meant no way to bathe at all.
"Miss Chu, I brought submachine guns and tents," Huo Luan spoke up at that moment.
"Even with guns, it's a no-go!" Chu Lingzhi insisted on her opinion.
No matter how powerful the submachine gun was, bullets would run out. Who knew how many wild beasts roamed these mountains?
"Mommy, just let us—" Chu Junyu was about to act cute, but Chu Lingzhi's face darkened as she glared at him sternly.
He instantly wilted like a drooping flower, slinking off to sit nearby, picking up a twig to draw circles.
"Huo Luan, take this boar down and have Sister Chunyan prepare dinner for us."
"What about you all..." Huo Luan looked at Nangong Yehen; he was supposed to stay and protect them.
"I'll take good care of your master."
"You go back," Nangong Yehen said.
With Nangong Yehen's permission, Huo Luan said nothing more.
He left the guns behind, just in case more wild boars showed up, they could use them to fight back.
After Huo Luan left, Nangong Yehen curled his lips, looking at Chu Lingzhi with amusement, "Do you know what you looked like just now?"
"A she-devil?" Chu Lingzhi raised an eyebrow.
"Of course not."
"Then what?"
"The mistress of my Nangong Yehen's household." Nangong Yehen smiled even more teasingly.
"Daddy, Mommy is already your mistress!" Chu Junyu was dissatisfied with Nangong Yehen's words and protested vehemently.
"One step short," Nangong Yehen said with a laugh.
"Which step?" Chu Junyu asked.
"She hasn't signed her name on my spouse line yet." So she wasn't technically his mistress yet.
Hearing this, a peculiar feeling instantly surged in Chu Lingzhi's heart.
But she didn't show it on her face; instead, she glared at Nangong Yehen and said, "You won't even let me sign, how can I become your mistress?"
"Daddy, let her sign when we get back to T City." Chu Junyu grinned slyly.
Nangong Yehen paused thoughtfully, his eyes smiling as he looked at Chu Lingzhi, "She's performed well these past few days. I'll consider it."
If she said she felt nothing hearing that, it would be a lie.
What she felt was a blush and a racing heart.
She glanced at Nangong Yehen, noticing the smile in his eyes, and her heart stirred involuntarily.

"No need to consider." Chu Junyu walked over and sat beside Nangong Yehen, acting wise beyond his years. "Daddy, hurry up and marry Mommy. My mommy is young, pretty, and capable.
