Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Do You Know What You're Doing?

Chu Lingzhi watched Huo Luan's retreating figure without overthinking, assuming Nangong Yehen had sent him back to rest.

"Master Nangong, shall we continue?" Chu Lingzhi felt like she was getting addicted to running. Since she was full of energy now, if she didn't tire herself out, she wouldn't be able to sleep when she returned to her room anyway.

Nangong Yehen's deep, penetrating gaze locked onto her fair, exquisite face as he smiled wickedly. "We will continue, but with a different activity."

Chu Lingzhi was curious. "What activity?"

After spending a day shooting with Chu Junyu last time, she had developed an addiction to guns. She suggested, "How about we go shooting? Let's fire a few rounds to satisfy the itch."

"Fine." Nangong Yehen curled his lips into a smile, stepped forward, and extended his long arm to pull her close.

Chu Lingzhi's vision blurred as she crashed into his solid chest.

"Master Nangong, I know the way." She knew the direction to the shooting range.

"Woman, I haven't settled the score with you from last time." His voice was husky, clearly carrying a sinister undertone.

Chu Lingzhi wasn't naive; she knew exactly what he was referring to.

Her cheeks flushed as she tried to struggle out of his embrace. "You said any method would do."

"Your method gave me no sensation at all." He chuckled seductively, his gaze deep and swirling like a bottomless vortex.

With one arm hooked around her waist and the other pressing against the back of her head, he leaned down and kissed her lips fiercely.

Chu Lingzhi's spine trembled as she stared at him in shock.

She struggled, but his strength was immense, and he kissed her again and again.

Like a pecking chick, showing no tenderness at all.

Suddenly, a thought struck Chu Lingzhi, and her eyes flew wide open.

In the night, under the lamplight, his gaze was so cold, laced with a complex emotion.

It seemed as if he wanted to punish her, or perhaps vent something.

Chu Lingzhi couldn't help but recall the look in his eyes when he had stared at Ouyang Ruobing. Her heart sank as she quickly pressed her hand against his, turning her head away to avoid his kiss.

"Let go!" Her hoarse voice carried a cold fury.

"Do you know what you're doing?" Chu Lingzhi had never lost her composure from start to finish; she was perfectly clear-headed.

They didn't love each other, so they couldn't go too far.

Even less did she want to be his outlet for venting.
