Chapter 63: Chapter 63: So Dizzy, I'm Going to Die

Her expression looked genuinely sorrowful.

Nangong Yehen snorted coldly, unimpressed. This woman wasn't just trained in martial arts—she was quite the actress too.

"Master Nangong, tell me in secret, is Ouyang Ruobing the woman you love?" Chu Lingzhi blinked, looking at him with gossipy curiosity.

In the night, her bright, spirited eyes appeared especially clear.

Nangong Yehen's face darkened deeply, his gaze icy. "Woman, you shouldn't ask that!"

Chu Lingzhi, fearless of death, pressed on: "Shouldn't ask? If I ask, will you kill me?"

Nangong Yehen curled his lips and pinched her waist hard. How could he bear to kill her?

He exuded a dangerous aura, yet his actions were so ambiguous—Chu Lingzhi was truly at a loss with him.

"I need to get this straight. Both sons are mine. The ones living with me are smart, adorable, lively, innocent, and mentally healthy. The ones living with you are aloof, poor at communicating, and not psychologically sound. If Ouyang Ruobing isn't the woman you love, would you, the lofty Prince of Cheng, easily let another woman be the mother of your sons?"

Ignoring his increasingly sinister and chilling expression, Chu Lingzhi murmured, "Master Nangong, you're not a woman; you don't understand women. Once a woman decides to give birth to a child, that child becomes her everything. Yet you gave my son to another woman. I'm heartbroken."

Thinking back to Nangong Yichen's attitude toward her, Chu Lingzhi's mood soured.

She suddenly glared fiercely at Nangong Yehen. "Yichen calling another woman 'Mom' and treating me so coldly—it's all your doing. Nangong Yehen, I can't stand you fast enough. How could I possibly be interested in you!"

With that, she jabbed her right index finger into his Adam's apple. He let out a soft cry of pain, and his hand around her waist loosened.

Chu Lingzhi seized the chance to escape, hurrying toward the villa.

Nangong Yehen narrowed his eyes dangerously, stepped forward, and gave chase.

Hearing his footsteps, Chu Lingzhi panicked and sprinted faster.

Her jab at his Adam's apple wasn't lethal, but it hurt plenty—she made him taste pain.

But now that he was in pain, would he get angry enough to kill her?

Chu Lingzhi didn't want to die. Glancing back at Nangong Yehen behind her, she saw he was almost catching up without even running.

He charged with a fierce, murderous aura, sending a chill down her spine. She clenched her fists and pushed herself to run faster.

"Ah..."

Running too fast, she didn't see the lamppost ahead while looking back at Nangong Yehen. When she turned around, she slammed straight into it.

Her body rebounded, and she fell hard to the ground.

Lying there, clutching her swollen forehead, she was in so much pain she wanted to cry.

"My head's spinning... I'm going to die..."

Nangong Yehen had never seen such a scene before.

Every woman before him had always acted ladylike and gentle. This comical lamppost collision was a first in his twenty-nine years of life.

He never expected her to hit a post and fall. First, he was stunned, then he curled his lips into a faint, amused smile.

He walked over, stood beside Chu Lingzhi, and looked down at her with unromantic detachment.

"It hurts so much..." Chu Lingzhi covered her forehead with both hands, looked up, and saw the faint smile on Nangong Yehen's exquisite face. She erupted in anger. "Damn it, you gloating bastard, get lost!"
