Chu Lingzhi followed the sound and saw a man with an almost demonically handsome face and fair skin. He wore a white casual outfit, his flowing hair gently lifting as he walked. Though not as tall as Nangong Yehen, he was still tall and slender. Coming down the stairs in cross-strap sandals, his peach-blossom eyes brimmed with a smile. He exuded a lazy, aristocratic air. Chu Lingzhi had to admit he was a handsome man. His presence couldn't match Nangong Yehen's, nor his looks or physique, but looking at him felt more soothing than looking at Nangong Yehen. Perhaps it was because this man lacked that innate coldness and aloofness, giving off a very approachable vibe.
Nangong Yehen casually sat on the sofa, took the tea handed to him by a servant, and took an elegant sip. "Mochen, I came to see Uncle," he said, setting the teacup on the coffee table and lifting his eyes to look at the handsome man with a faint, amused smile.
When Mochen entered the living room and saw Chu Lingzhi, a flicker of surprise passed through his bright, sparkling phoenix eyes. He sat down across from Nangong Yehen, his phoenix eyes smiling, and asked, "Who is she? Why does her face look so familiar?"
Chu Lingzhi sat down beside Nangong Yehen and smiled at Mochen. "My name is Chu Lingzhi." If you typed "Chu Lingzhi" into a search engine, her information and photos would come up, so it was normal for her to look familiar. She was quite reputable in the medical field.
Nangong Yehen turned his head and glanced at her. Her smile was like a hundred flowers blooming, utterly captivating. Yet to him, her smile seemed glaring.
"Nangong, have you finally opened your heart and started dating seriously?" Mochen teased, looking at them.
"I'm not his girlfriend!" Chu Lingzhi quickly explained.
"She's Yichen's biological mother," Nangong Yehen said flatly.
Mochen was stunned, then looked at Chu Lingzhi in surprise. "So you're Yichen's real mother. No wonder you look so familiar. You look a lot like him."
Chu Lingzhi chuckled lightly. "He looks like me."
Mochen paused, then let out a hearty laugh. "Right, he looks like you, exactly like you." His smile faded as his shimmering peach-blossom eyes roamed over Chu Lingzhi. This woman didn't have that noble aura of someone born into a wealthy family. But the purity and elegance she radiated made her exceptionally dazzling. She gave off an untouchable yet conquerable vibe. She wasn't arrogant, but she exuded a sense of unyielding defiance. Especially her stunningly beautiful face, breathtakingly gorgeous.
Mochen looked at Nangong Yehen with amusement. This guy always had high standards. The women he chose were always extraordinary. "Nangong, you didn't bring her here just to show off in front of me, did you?" Mochen asked with a smile.
"I brought her here specifically to see Uncle."
Chu Lingzhi was taken aback, looking at Nangong Yehen with confusion in her clear eyes. Just as she was about to ask what he meant, Mochen spoke up. "She's a doctor?"
Nangong Yehen nodded. "She can treat Uncle's illness."
Mochen didn't believe it. "My dad had a stroke."
Nangong Yehen smiled faintly. "A stroke can also be cured."
Chu Lingzhi looked at him. His profile was stunningly handsome. With that faint smile, he was utterly captivating and charming. So he had brought her here to treat Mochen's father.
