"If you keep talking nonsense, I'll sew your mouth shut!" Sheng Qi snorted coldly.
"Why sew it shut? A kiss would shut me up just fine. Want to give it a try?" Bai Tang chuckled, tilting her head and puckering her lips.
Sheng Qi kept a cold face and didn't bother with her nonsense.
Dragging her along, Sheng Qi brought her straight back to the office: "Finish the test paper!"
Bai Tang smiled, a hint of slyness flickering in her eyes: "Fine!"
Sheng Qi's gaze fell on Bai Tang as he watched her obediently walk over and sit down, picking up a pen to start working. He was a bit surprised.
In less than two hours, Bai Tang finished all the assignments.
"Done!" Bai Tang said with a smile.
Sheng Qi took it, quickly graded it, and then his face darkened.
"I really have to see you in a new light. What were you doing in class?" Sheng Qi said coldly.
"Thinking of you!" Bai Tang declared with deep affection: "Ever since I met my beauty, my time has been nothing but thinking of you, only you!"
"Every moment, I'm thinking of you!"
"In my mind, there's only you!"
Sheng Qi: "..."
"Do you want to run ten laps again?"
His chilling voice carried a hint of warning.
Bai Tang: "..."
Heh...
Bai Tang lowered her eyes, unable to help but sigh. Were all beauties this aloof?
Damn it, no matter how she tried to flirt, it was useless!
So depressing!
Sheng Qi looked at her, watching her frustrated and annoyed micro-expressions, and couldn't help but curl his lips into a faint smile, even the light in his eyes softening a bit.
But such tenderness vanished completely the moment Bai Tang looked up.
Sheng Qi stared at the disastrous test paper, feeling immense pressure about tutoring Bai Tang.
Hopefully, her IQ wouldn't be too bad!
"Go have lunch first, then come back, and I'll explain the problems to you," Sheng Qi said.
Bai Tang looked at him and asked softly, "Beauty, aren't you busy? As a big shot with status, being swamped with work should be your standard, right?"
"Don't think about running away. Honestly, study. The college entrance exam—you have to take it!" Sheng Qi said seriously.
Bai Tang stared at him, curious: "Why are you so insistent on me taking the college entrance exam? You know it doesn't mean much to a slacker like me."
Sheng Qi sat up straight, exuding authority: "At your age, do what you're supposed to do. Otherwise, later on, you'll regret your youthful recklessness today."
Bai Tang was stunned. Doing what you should at the right age—those words felt both comforting and bittersweet.
She gazed fixedly at Sheng Qi, unsure if she was looking at him or through him at a past memory.
Her sudden silence made Sheng Qi frown slightly, thinking he might have touched a sensitive nerve. His cold tone softened a bit.
"You only have two months. I hope you study hard and get the best results, with no regrets."
"Even if later you—"
"Beauty, which university do you want me to get into?" Bai Tang interrupted with a smile. "What about A University?"
Sheng Qi frowned: "Do you think your current grades can get you into A University?"
"I can't, but you can, beauty!"
"I believe you can help me get in," Bai Tang said earnestly, looking at Sheng Qi with a trust that startled him.
After a long pause, he said, "Fine, aim for A University."
Bai Tang smiled.
A feeling called trust spread in her heart, and Bai Tang felt it was good. The more she looked at the man before her, the more she liked him—not for the first time because of his stunning, enchanting face.
