Sheng Qi let out a light scoff and sneered, "Go clean up. Now!"
"Got it!" Bai Tang beamed brightly.
Watching her leave, Sheng Qi took a deep breath, but couldn't help furrowing his brows.
A few minutes later, Bai Tang came down looking refreshed, backpack on, standing obediently in front of Sheng Qi. "Let's go, beautiful!"
Sheng Qi held out his hand. "Give me the car keys."
"Huh?"
Sheng Qi pointed at the silver car parked by the entrance. "Giving it to me, and now you want it back?"
"I didn't drive here," Sheng Qi said coldly. "Or do you want to walk to school?"
Bai Tang chuckled. "Why didn't you say so earlier!"
Sheng Qi kept his face cold and said nothing.
She handed the car keys to Sheng Qi, who didn't even glance at her as he got into the car.
Bai Tang quickly followed, silently grumbling to herself: *The beauty's probably on her period.*
*His temper is seriously awful!*
*So damn tsundere!*
After dropping her off at school, Sheng Qi didn't leave. Instead, he took her straight to the principal's office.
Once there, Sheng Qi said to Bai Tang, "Wait for me outside."
About fifteen minutes later, the office door opened, and Sheng Qi walked out, followed by the principal's somewhat ingratiating gaze.
"Student Bai Tang, go back to class now," the principal said with a smile. "As for your previous withdrawal, I'll handle it. Just focus on your studies. The college entrance exam is coming up—don't let it affect your learning."
The principal smiled on the surface, but inwardly he couldn't help mocking himself: *That sounded fake, considering she's dead last in the whole school. How much worse could it get?*
Bai Tang turned her head to look at Sheng Qi, who simply nodded at her. "Go to class. We'll talk about the rest after school."
Bai Tang smiled but said nothing, turning and walking away.
Once she was out of sight, Sheng Qi turned back to the principal standing beside him, his expression grim. "I don't want to see this happen to anyone else again."
The principal couldn't help wiping the sweat from his forehead and stammered, "Rest assured, Master Sheng. I guarantee nothing like this will ever happen again."
Sheng Qi coldly withdrew his gaze and left.
Watching him disappear, the principal returned to his office, picked up the phone, and dialed Bai Chengfeng's number.
"Mr. Bai, I'm afraid I can't continue with having Bai Tang withdrawn from school."
"What do you mean?" Bai Chengfeng asked, frowning.
The principal's face darkened. Remembering what Sheng Qi had said in the office, he felt even more tense.
"Bai Tang has come back to continue her classes," the principal said, not wanting to explain too much, but since he'd received plenty of benefits from Bai Chengfeng, he felt obliged to offer a warning.
"Mr. Bai, I advise you to let your daughter keep studying and take the college entrance exam. Stop wasting your energy trying to mess with her."
"What's wrong with you?" Bai Chengfeng was starting to get angry. "Did that brat find some leverage to threaten you? Are you scared of her?"
"No," the principal frowned, pursing his lips. "It's Sheng Qi. He brought her to the school, and he knows a lot of things... Mr. Bai, just back off."
"Impossible!" Bai Chengfeng said coldly. "She's my daughter. What right does Sheng Qi have to interfere?"
"Mr. Bai... suit yourself." The principal hung up directly.
