Bai Chengfeng's face was completely green!
He turned around, glaring furiously at the stopped car. Which blind idiot was driving?!
Bai Tang stared in bewilderment at Sheng Qi stepping out of the car, puzzled. Why is he back?
The car door opened, and Sheng Qi, holding a black umbrella, strode over with long, powerful steps, exuding a sharp, commanding presence. His gaze swept over the crowd before him, his overwhelming aura suffocating everyone.
Bai Chengfeng's vicious glare froze the moment it met Sheng Qi's cold face.
As he quickly shifted his expression, his entire demeanor turned stiff.
"Mr. Sheng..." Bai Chengfeng's voice was tense.
Sheng Qi merely looked at him indifferently, his eyes icy.
After a few seconds, he withdrew his gaze and fixed it on the young woman standing at the door.
Suddenly receiving Sheng Qi's attention, Bai Tang's puzzled expression faded, replaced by a bright smile.
Even the fierce aura around her vanished in an instant.
"Hey, beauty!" Bai Tang instinctively raised her right hand to wave at Sheng Qi, but a sharp pain shot through her arm, and her face stiffened.
Damn! She'd forgotten she'd taken off the bandage!
Bai Tang quickly lowered her hand, trying to hide it behind her back.
But clearly, Sheng Qi's gaze had already landed on her right arm resting at her side. His usually cold eyes now radiated intense chill.
Bai Tang: "..."
Could she just shut the door and wrap the bandage back on right now?
Before she could move, Sheng Qi turned to face Bai Chengfeng.
"Mr. Bai, bringing so many people here this late—is there something you need?" Sheng Qi asked coldly.
Unlike his usual distant coldness, this was genuine chill, even tinged with an indescribable anger.
Bai Chengfeng was thrown off by this sudden hostility.
"Mr. Sheng, this is my home. Are you misunderstanding something?"
"Is that so?" Sheng Qi's tone was icy, but the question was directed at Bai Tang.
Bai Tang shook her head. "No, this is my house!"
Bai Chengfeng's face darkened, and he spoke coldly. "Without me, where would you get this house?"
"Do you want me to show you the property deed?" Bai Tang asked.
"You—"
"Mr. Bai!" Sheng Qi cut him off, continuing in a cold voice. "What do you intend to do by bringing so many people here today?"
Bai Chengfeng cursed inwardly: What I do here is none of your damn business!
But on the surface, he forced a smile. "I'm just handling some family matters. May I ask why Mr. Sheng is here?"
"Beauty, he's here to bully me!" Bai Tang complained pitifully.
If she didn't redirect Sheng Qi's fire toward Bai Chengfeng now, would she be the one getting roasted later?
Hearing this, Bai Chengfeng's face darkened.
This damn girl!
He suddenly felt the gaze beside him grow even colder. Frowning at Sheng Qi, he forced a smile. "Mr. Sheng, this is my family matter!"
An outsider like you should stay out of it!
Sheng Qi snorted. "Mr. Bai, trespassing on private property with so many people—what are you planning? Kidnapping? Extortion? Aren't you afraid of going to jail?"
Bai Chengfeng's expression turned icy. "Mr. Sheng, isn't that going too far? I'm just looking for my own daughter. Is that wrong?"
"Yes!" Sheng Qi said coldly. "Bringing a bunch of bodyguards to find someone—are you looking for them or looking for trouble? Want to discuss this at the police station?"
"Mr. Sheng, isn't this meddling a bit too much?" Bai Chengfeng said, his face dark.
"Bai Tang is a member of my team. If you come with a crowd to cause her trouble, that's causing trouble for me, Sheng Qi!"
Sheng Qi stared at him coldly, his presence overwhelming. "Bullying someone under my protection—do you think I'm dead?"
