"Miss, go to class first. I'll prepare your lunch and bring it to you later!" Bai Wu changed the subject.
"Don't, let's chat!" Bai Tang's reply came almost instantly. "What else did the big shot say? Did you guys fight? How's his skill?"
Seeing the messages, Bai Wu's mouth twitched hard.
If he'd known it would turn out like this, he shouldn't have sent that message.
Bai Wu looked at the screen, smiled helplessly and indulgently, then put down the vegetables in his hand. His fingers moved skillfully across the screen, recounting the entire incident from start to finish for Bai Tang.
After sending it, Bai Wu smiled and put down his phone.
He knew he could now cook in peace.
Bai Wu was fast and timed everything perfectly.
With the food in hand, Bai Wu drove straight to the school, arriving with five minutes left before class ended.
He sent Bai Tang a message and sat quietly in the car waiting.
Not long after the school bell rang, Bai Tang's figure appeared.
Bai Wu got out of the car, about to speak, but Bai Tang cut in directly: "Get in the car. We'll talk inside."
Once they were both seated, Bai Wu asked with a smile, "Want to find a place to sit and eat?"
"Let's just eat in the car. Don't waste time!" Bai Tang said with a grin.
Bai Wu grabbed the small board from the back, set it up beside them, opened the insulated bag, and laid out all the prepared dishes neatly.
Plenty of portions, lots of variety.
And most importantly, everything she liked!
"I think I'm definitely going to gain weight!" Bai Tang laughed. "Have you eaten?"
Bai Wu smiled back: "I have."
"You're definitely lying!" Bai Tang chuckled, handing him a pair of chopsticks while she picked up a spoon. "Eat with me."
Bai Wu looked at her, a gentle smile flickering across his brow. He didn't refuse but instead used the chopsticks to pick up food for Bai Tang.
Seeing this, Bai Tang said nothing more. Right now, Bai Wu was obsessed with fattening her up. Just yesterday, when he saw her arm around his neck, he'd even talked about going to the hospital to cripple Feng Zi's hand.
"Do you think Sheng Qi will find out my identity?" Bai Tang swallowed the food in her mouth and asked Bai Wu.
Bai Wu shook his head: "Based on his warning to me, he probably believes Miss is already dead. You're just Bai Tang now—someone I might be using."
Bai Tang smiled, popping a piece of sweet and sour pork ribs into her mouth. One bite, and it was pure satisfaction.
"So, what do you think would happen if he found out my real identity one day?" Bai Tang's lips curled into a roguish grin.
Bai Wu's hand holding the chopsticks paused slightly, then he looked up at Bai Tang.
The girl wore a carefree smile on her face. No matter how you looked at it, there wasn't much emotional fluctuation—as if she were just genuinely curious about the answer to that question.
"What? Hard to answer?" Bai Tang let out a light laugh. "Or do you think he'd be really furious?"
Bai Wu placed another rib in her bowl and said with a soft smile, "No. Miss is too good for that."
Bai Tang chuckled softly: "Xiao Wu, you underestimate the big shot. He's quite the schemer and holds grudges. If he knew I'd tricked him, he'd probably want to skin me alive."
Bai Wu watched Bai Tang's slightly teasing expression, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly: "I think he actually cares about you quite a bit. Even if he found out you lied to him one day, I doubt he'd be angry."
Bai Tang smiled faintly and silently shoveled rice into her mouth.
Bai Wu stared at her quietly for a few seconds before speaking again: "Miss, are you serious about him?"
