After Sheng Qi pulled her out, he released her hand and strode ahead toward the elevator.
Bai Tang stood beside him, cautiously sizing him up. "Mr. Sheng, were you just angry?"
"Don't talk to me!" Sheng Qi said coldly.
"Looks like you really are angry!" Bai Tang remarked. "Mr. Sheng, haven't you noticed you've been getting angry pretty often lately?"
"Are you on your period?"
No sooner had Bai Tang spoken than Sheng Qi shot her a cold glare, his sinister gaze utterly terrifying. "Are you asking for trouble?"
"I'm concerned about you!"
"Don't need it!" Sheng Qi said icily, stepping into the elevator.
Bai Tang followed him in, eyeing Sheng Qi, who had fully turned into an ice block, and instinctively edged away.
Sheng Qi turned his head, looking at the person now standing in the far back, and said frostily, "Am I a virus?"
Bai Tang quickly moved to Sheng Qi's side and linked her arm through his. "Your radiance was just too dazzling earlier—I couldn't open my eyes!"
Sheng Qi snorted, staring straight ahead, completely ignoring her.
He seemed utterly indifferent to her arm being linked with his.
The two stepped out of the elevator. It was already late at night, and the hospital was silent. Bai Tang, arm in arm with Sheng Qi, was in high spirits.
Being able to take advantage of a beauty like this every day was pretty great!
They got into the car, and Sheng Qi drove her home.
Considering Sheng Qi was in no mood to acknowledge her, Bai Tang felt drowsy and stopped messing around, simply leaning back against the seat to sleep.
She'd meant to just doze off, but under Sheng Qi's king-like driving skills, she ended up falling fast asleep.
While waiting at a red light, Sheng Qi turned his head and looked at the girl sleeping peacefully beside him, letting out a soft sigh.

In the dead of night, Sheng Qi just gazed silently at the girl beside him. The green light ahead turned green, then red again...

There were almost no cars on the road, yet Sheng Qi's pace was incredibly leisurely.
A journey that should have taken half an hour took him nearly an hour to get her home.
The car stopped at the villa's entrance. Sheng Qi was about to wake her up when he noticed the lights inside were on, and immediately frowned.
Thinking of Bai Wu, Sheng Qi's expression soured.
He turned his head, his gaze falling once more on the carefree girl, and he felt like smacking her!
She had no sense of danger, letting a stranger stay overnight at her place!
The more Sheng Qi thought about it, the angrier he got. He reached out, grabbed her face, and pinched hard.
Bai Tang winced in pain and woke up.
She looked at Sheng Qi with grievance. "Why did you pinch me?"
"Awake?" Sheng Qi said coldly.
Bai Tang: "Next time you wake me up, you could choose a gentle kiss to rouse me!"
Sheng Qi sneered.
Bai Tang: "..."
"Who's at your place?" Sheng Qi asked coldly.
Bai Tang turned her head, spotting Bai Wu just coming out from inside, and said calmly, "It's Xiao Wu!"
"Hmph..." Sheng Qi said darkly, "Bai Tang, you're a girl!"
"Mr. Sheng, you're finally seeing me as a girl!" Bai Tang looked at him excitedly, then flashed a seductive, devilish smile. "Want to come in for a cup of tea before you go?"
Sheng Qi frowned. This drama queen, what nonsense was she learning every day?
"Sure."
The moment Bai Tang froze in surprise, Sheng Qi had already turned off the engine and gotten out of the car.
