"I don't usually say the word 'give up' lightly, so tell Chu'er to wash the car and bring it to my place tomorrow!" Bai Tang smirked, a glint of determination flashing in her eyes.
Sheng Qi gazed at her, a fleeting dark gleam passing through his eyes before vanishing.
Just as Xiao Xi, who was about to overtake Bai Tang, opened his mouth to cheer her on, Bai Tang floored the accelerator, widening the gap between them again.
Chu'er, riding alongside, chuckled and said, "Xiao Xi, she's getting serious!"
Xiao Xi awkwardly twitched the corner of his mouth—this girl really wasn't giving him a chance to speak!
Pressing the gas, Xiao Xi quickly caught up.
You Yu spoke with a half-smile, "This car was modified back when the boss drove it. Even though it's years old, its performance can't be underestimated."
"What do you think—if the boss were driving this, could the three of us win?"
Chu'er and Xiao Xi fell silent.
After a moment, Chu'er said, "It's a bit iffy."
"I think we'd lose," Xiao Xi added.
You Yu grinned and asked, "So, do you think the boss will step in and win this race?"
"No," Chu'er immediately dismissed the idea. "Because the boss also wants to see just how skilled this girl really is."
As if reading his teammates' thoughts, Chu'er continued, "From what I've observed in her last two racing-related incidents, this girl has huge potential. And given the boss's sharp eye, I'm leaning toward believing she's genuinely strong."
"So that means we can't underestimate her?" Xiao Xi said.
You Yu paused for three seconds, then said, "Why all the chatter? Catch up!"
The track was a maze of twists and turns. Bai Tang handled the car calmly while asking Sheng Qi, "How much longer is this track?"
"Halfway there."
Sheng Qi had initially planned to stay quiet, but glancing at the girl's focused expression, he reluctantly added, "The second half of the track narrows down, only allowing two cars to pass side by side."
Bai Tang grinned, a roguish smile spreading across her face. "Handsome, are you afraid I might lose?"
Sheng Qi's face remained cold and silent.
But Bai Tang laughed cheerfully. "Since you care so much about me, how could I let you down?"
She glanced at the three cars trying to overtake her, then swerved her car into a serpentine pattern.
It wobbled erratically, with no discernible logic.
She had already accelerated as much as she could, but the engine was clearly struggling—there was no way she could outpace those three sports cars in sheer speed.
So, her only option was to use this inherent advantage to block the cars behind her from overtaking, keeping them stuck in the rear.
If a head-on fight wouldn't work, she'd have to take a detour.
"Hold on tight, handsome, or you might get sick," Bai Tang said with a smirk. As she spoke, she yanked the steering wheel, executing a sharp drift that made it feel like her body might fly out.
The three cars trailing behind were left choking on exhaust fumes.
Sheng Qi hadn't planned to grab the handrail, but the girl's driving was recklessly wild.
That drift nearly gave him a concussion.
This girl was completely out of control.
"Are you going to make yourself sick too?" Sheng Qi asked flatly.
Bai Tang's smile remained unwavering, her bright eyes sparkling. "Want to find out?"
