Delicate lamps on either side of the headboard cast a soft glow, creating an incredibly cozy sleeping environment.
What pleased Wen Qi most was that the suite also had a dedicated living area for Pokémon.
The space was open, warmly arranged with soft cushions and clean water facilities.
As long as a Pokémon wasn't as massive as an Onix, it could move freely here. Of course, for safety, Pokémon were not allowed to use moves in this area.
The bathroom was equally luxurious, equipped with a high-end massage bathtub and a smart toilet, with various premium toiletries arranged on the counter.
Every detail of the suite exuded nobility and comfort, leaving Wen Qi thoroughly satisfied.
Though Wen Qi had his small world and didn't need to release his Pokémon, there was still a big difference between needing something and having it.
He could choose not to use it, but he couldn't afford not to have it.
With that thought, he pretended to release his Venomoth from its Poké Ball and signaled it to check the room for any surveillance devices.
Though he doubted a hotel this large would stoop to such tricks, he wanted to be cautious. He couldn't risk anyone discovering the secret of his small world.
If it were found out, even changing his appearance might not help him escape. For his own safety, no amount of caution was too much.
Fortunately, the Slaking Hotel didn't let him down. Venomoth quickly confirmed everything was normal.
Afterward, Wen Qi didn't return Venomoth to its ball.
In an unfamiliar place, he needed a Pokémon for protection. A level 43 Venomoth was perfect—as long as no Gym-level Pokémon ambushed him, safety wouldn't be an issue.

But Wen Qi also knew that buying one outright wasn't cost-effective. He might as well check the egg-gambling area—maybe he'd get lucky.
He mused that Evergreen City, being a large metropolis with a big population, likely had many breeding houses. The egg-gambling area probably had plenty of eggs too, and he might even find some rare Pokémon.
For this trip, Wen Qi had brought his Bellossom and Audino. As for his Mr. Mime, since he didn't need cleaning services while traveling, he left it at home.
When Bellossom and Audino came out and saw the unfamiliar surroundings, Bellossom actually seemed a bit scared.
It seemed she was only tough on the farm; in a strange place, she turned timid. Audino was much better, having been trained and thus more worldly.
Bellossom later felt a bit embarrassed, but since she had little experience, she pretended to casually walk over to Wen Qi in the unfamiliar environment, feigning an accidental brush before clinging tightly to him.

He hadn't expected his fearless Bellossom to be shy around strangers.
But maybe it was his fault. After evolving, Bellossom had stayed on the farm without ever going out, so she lacked courage.
With that in mind, Wen Qi took Venomoth, Bellossom, and Audino out together. He planned to grab a meal and let Bellossom see the world.
Along the way, Venomoth perched on Wen Qi's shoulder, protecting him while saving energy—quite comfortable.
Audino followed behind Wen Qi like a lady, stepping gracefully and calmly.
As for Bellossom, seeing so many new things and unfamiliar humans for the first time made her shy.
If she hadn't felt too grown-up to hide in Wen Qi's arms, she probably would have crawled right in.
Even so, Bellossom stayed nervous the whole way, constantly tugging at Wen Qi's clothes, as if afraid he'd get lost.
Wen Qi noticed her timidity but didn't return her to the small world. Instead, he let her continue getting used to the environment.
He even took care of Bellossom by holding her small hand in his own.
With Wen Qi's hand in hers, Bellossom felt less scared and instead grew a bit shy. Wen Qi noticed her blush but thought she was just nervous.
Holding Bellossom's hand, they walked a short distance to the restaurant.
Luckily, they didn't run into Zhu Xiu and her family this time. Wen Qi ordered some signature dishes and some desserts for Bellossom and Audino.
They say eating something sweet helps when you're nervous, and it was true. After finishing the desserts, Bellossom's anxious demeanor improved significantly.
After the meal, Wen Qi planned to go out.
This time, he didn't bring Bellossom. She had only just started getting used to the hotel environment; taking her out to face more unfamiliar sights and people might make things harder.
Back in the room, Wen Qi asked Bellossom and Audino if they wanted to stay in the room or return to the small world.
After thinking it over, they decided to stay in the room, since there was Wi-Fi for watching shows.
Hearing their reason, Wen Qi found it both funny and exasperating. Still, he took out the tablets they usually used for binge-watching and prepared plenty of snacks, telling them to stay in the room and not go out.
They happily agreed. With internet access for shows and snacks to munch on, life was too comfortable.
