Chapter 179: Chapter 179: The Unruly Father Yang (1/10)

In the afternoon, Murphy urged Yang Yi to leave early to pick up their daughter. Although it was indeed a bit early—still two hours before school ended—Yang Yi couldn't resist Murphy's insistence, so he brought out the Bawang.

When Murphy got into the car, her hair was still damp and messy.

But don't get any ideas; nothing unspeakable had happened between Murphy and Yang Yi at noon. Although Murphy had cornered Yang Yi and kissed him forcefully, nothing further had occurred.

It wasn't that he didn't want to, but Murphy's period hadn't ended yet—it really wasn't the right time!

"Heh... heh!" Yang Yi looked at Murphy, liking her more and more, and couldn't help grinning.

They say a woman's IQ drops to zero when she's head over heels in love, but now it seemed men weren't much better—this grin was just like an idiot's.

Murphy blushed and scolded him playfully, "What are you grinning about? Got what you wanted and now you're smug?"

"Not at all!" Yang Yi reached out and took Murphy's hand, gently interlocking their fingers. His hand was bigger, easily spreading her fingers apart. "I just think you're especially beautiful!"

Oh, has this blockhead finally wised up? Such smooth talk!

Murphy's heart was practically dripping with sweetness. She pursed her lips, not knowing how to respond, and just gazed back at Yang Yi.

Murphy thought to herself: Now I realize, this big blockhead is actually quite handsome!

He was tall and sturdy, his hair never meticulously styled like those pretty-boy types, but neat, tidy, and clean! His chiseled features, with bright eyes and sharp brows, once seemed rigid, but now felt increasingly masculine!

And don't tell anyone, but his physique is amazing too!

Truly, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Murphy looked at Yang Yi and liked him more and more. The two held hands, exchanging tender glances.

After who knows how long, being a mother, it was Murphy who snapped out of it first: "Right, Xixi!"

She tried to pull her hand back, but found Yang Yi holding it tightly, so she scolded him, "Hey, how long are you going to hold on? Aren't you going to drive?"

Yang Yi came to his senses, quickly let go, smiled sheepishly, turned the key, and started the car.

...

"Ding-a-ling!" The phone alarm startled the two, who had been waiting bored for over an hour because they arrived too early and couldn't resist doing unspeakable things in the car.

Murphy hurriedly pushed Yang Yi away, sat up straight in her passenger seat, and adjusted the rearview mirror. In the mirror, the big star's cheeks were flushed, her lips slightly swollen, yet she looked stunningly beautiful.

Her hair, washed in the afternoon, was messy again, and her clothes were slightly disheveled—all thanks to that restless big hand!

Murphy quickly tidied up and scolded him, "Is it half past five? Hurry up and pick up our daughter!"

Yang Yi reached over, gently tucking a strand of hair behind Murphy's ear with infinite tenderness, and smiled softly, "Don't worry, I'm going now."

In front of the kindergarten, traffic was bustling, with many luxury cars pulling up right to the main gate to wait for their kids. Yang Yi walked to the kindergarten entrance, calm and unbothered, not feeling out of place.

Of course, having spent the whole day focused on their private time, Yang Yi only now reconnected with that thread of worry, starting to fret about his daughter: "How did the little one get through today? Did she cry all day?"

Despite his tall stature, with almost no one blocking his view ahead, Yang Yi couldn't help standing on tiptoe, eagerly searching for that small figure he longed for.

Soon, Yang Yi spotted Teacher Mu first. He watched closely, and finally, after one child after another, Xixi's little head appeared in his view.

The little girl was holding hands with her friends—a pretty little girl on the left, and a slightly chubby one on the right. Well, not chubby, just a bit plump, another girl with delicate features.

"Xixi!" Yang Yi saw his daughter and couldn't contain his excitement, losing his usual calm. He raised his hand and called out.

Xixi heard the voice, her eyes lit up, and she quickly looked around, spotting her father standing tall among the waiting parents!

"Daddy!" Xixi called out joyfully.

At that moment, she forgot all about her friends, let go of her companions' hands, twisted her little body, squeezed through the crowd, and ran toward her father.

"Hey, don't rush!" Teacher Shen couldn't grab her in time, and the slender Xixi had already slipped out.

The kindergarten entrance was crowded with both kids and parents. Teacher Shen couldn't let Xixi run out of the line alone—if she got knocked over or stepped on in the surging crowd, what then?

Teacher Shen quickly chased after her, but she couldn't bump into other children, so she had to weave through one by one, nowhere near as agile as the tiny Xixi.

Yang Yi also pushed his way out of the parent crowd. Seeing his daughter, he forgot everything else. Unconcerned with social norms, he used his tall, strong build and strength to force a path, drawing many complaints and curses.

"Hey, sir, you can't go in yet!" Two teachers were guarding the entrance, requiring parents to wait in batches for their class teachers to bring the kids out. Seeing Yang Yi, they quickly stopped him.

Yang Yi's mind cleared a bit, and he tried to explain, but Xixi had already reached the gate. The little girl slipped out while the teachers weren't looking and happily jumped toward her father: "Daddy!"

"Xixi!" Yang Yi crouched down joyfully, scooping his daughter into his arms.

The small, soft little body, the sweet, clingy voice—his fatherly happiness soared.

"Mr. Yang, you can't do that. Xixi, do you know how dangerous that was?" Teacher Shen finally caught up, scolding Yang Yi and Xixi with a mix of frustration and disappointment.

Yang Yi hadn't expected it. When he saw Xixi, he'd forgotten the kindergarten rules. Now, calming down, he realized his recklessness, felt a bit embarrassed, and accepted the criticism sheepishly.

Teacher Shen gave him a small "punishment": he couldn't leave with Xixi immediately. They had to go back inside the kindergarten and wait until other parents were invited in by the teachers to pick up their kids before they could all exit together.

Xixi, who had missed her father all day, clung to him, refusing to let go of his neck. Yang Yi had to carry her and stand among a group of little ones, becoming the object of their "admiration."

"Uncle, are you Xixi's dad?" a slightly chubby little girl asked, looking up.

What a loud voice!

Yang Yi, who had been playing with his daughter, looked down at her and smiled gently.

"Xinxin!" Xixi now wanted her father to put her down. She happily took the little girl's hand and introduced her, "Daddy, this is my first best friend, Xinxin!"

"She's really nice, and she loves the food you cook!" Xixi introduced her cheerfully.

Lan Xin nodded vigorously, clenching her little fists, and said, "Yeah, yeah, the chicken wings uncle made were so yummy!"

Yang Yi smiled, ruffled his daughter's hair, and said gently to Lan Xin, "Then tomorrow, I'll make you all something else delicious!"

"Xixi, I'm your first friend!" Another tall, sturdy little girl squeezed over, shouting, then looked at Yang Yi expectantly, "Uncle, I love eating too!"

"Daddy, this is Chen Shiyun. Okay, you're my first friend! She's really strong too, with a lot of power!" Xixi happily introduced her new friends.

Hadn't Chen Shiyun had a falling out with Xixi? How did they become good friends again?
