Chapter 47: Chapter 47 You Fell in Love with Him at First Sight

Huo Luan lowered his head, his eyes twitching fiercely. Having followed Nangong Yehen for so long, this was the first time he had seen him scolded so harshly by a woman.

Nangong Yehen, however, looked like he was enjoying the show, watching her with a faint, unreadable smile that made his intentions impossible to guess.

Chu Junyu was speechless. When had his mom turned into such a shrew?

And where did she learn all that foul language?

He shook his head, stepped forward, and tugged at her sleeve. "Mom, stop yelling."

"This bastard deserves it. If he wants a son, plenty of women can bear him one. Why does he have to take mine?" Chu Lingzhi's face was flushed red with anger as she yanked Chu Junyu close, hugging him tightly, staring at Nangong Yehen with a guarded expression.

"Nangong Yehen, I'm warning you—my son and I live together and die together. Don't you dare try to separate us! Even if I have to risk my life today, I won't let you touch my son!"

"Your life is still tender, not old at all," Nangong Yehen said coldly.

"Mom, he hasn't touched me. I'm fine," Chu Junyu took the chance to comfort her.

"Wanting to take you from me is still touching you!" Chu Lingzhi scooped up Chu Junyu. "Sweetie, we're leaving here. I won't let him take you from me."

With that, she strode toward the main entrance, but Huo Luan's tall frame blocked their way.

"You'll have to live here from now on," Nangong Yehen said, staring straight ahead, his tone calm yet carrying an undeniable authority and dominance.

"What?" Chu Lingzhi was stunned. "We have to live here from now on? On what grounds?"

Nangong Yehen stood up, his build robust, imposing, and refined.

As he rose from the sofa, the living room suddenly felt oppressive.

He turned around, smirking coldly at Chu Lingzhi. "On the grounds that you are my woman, Nangong Yehen's."

Chu Lingzhi's heart skipped a beat. "You have more than one woman. Do they all have to live here?"

Chu Junyu rubbed his forehead. What a foolish mom.

"You can choose not to stay, but you'll regret it."

Chu Lingzhi spun around, glaring at Nangong Yehen with fury. "Nangong Yehen, stop using your City King's power to bully people!"

"What's the point of having power if you don't use it?"

"You—"

"Mom, he said you fell in love with him at first sight, and then you had me," Chu Junyu whispered in her ear.

At that, Chu Lingzhi's hands trembled, and Chu Junyu nearly slipped from her arms.

Even though the little boy's voice was soft, Nangong Yehen and Huo Luan still heard it.

Nangong Yehen raised an eyebrow, amused as he looked at Chu Junyu. This kid could lie without blushing.

"I fell in love with him at first sight?" Chu Lingzhi was shocked. She wouldn't believe it even if it killed her.

Chu Junyu nodded, looking innocent. "You loved him deeply. After you had me and my brother, he abandoned you. Mom, I think you're too heartbroken over being dumped to remember that part of your past."

Nangong Yehen's handsome brows rose higher and higher. This kid was getting more ridiculous by the minute.

What abandonment?

Between them, it was only a transaction. Once it was over, they went their separate ways. There was no such thing as one abandoning the other.

Chu Lingzhi gritted her teeth, glaring at Chu Junyu. "Is that true?"

Chu Junyu pointed a small finger at Nangong Yehen. "He told me himself."

Nangong Yehen smiled faintly, not bothering to expose the boy's lie.

Chu Lingzhi shot Nangong Yehen a cold, disdainful glance. "I actually fell for him at first sight? My eyes must have been blind back then... Sweetie, what did you just say? Brother? I gave birth to you and a brother?"
