Chapter 213: Chapter 213: Your Chance Is Gone

Bai Tang saw Zhang Xiaochu's message right after class. The first one made her think he was having a chuunibyou episode. By the time the second one came through, she couldn't help but frown.

Instead of replying to Zhang Xiaochu, she grabbed her phone and called Bai Wu directly. The moment the call connected, Bai Tang cut straight to the point: "What are you going to find Zhang Xiaochu for?"

"To make him study hard. After all, ranking second-to-last is really pathetic!" Bai Wu said with some disdain.

Bai Tang smirked playfully. "Xiao Wu, did you forget to check? Your young miss here is dead last in the whole school!"

Bai Wu: "..."

After three seconds of silence, Bai Wu spoke seriously and solemnly: "Miss managed to avoid all the correct answers and get last place—that's something ordinary people can't do. So I believe that if Miss wants to, first place can be yours too!"

"Where did you learn that brown-nosing?" Bai Tang chuckled lightly. "Xiao Wu, what have you been through all these years? Going from a stern, unsmiling young gentleman to such a greasy, flirty man!"

Bai Wu: "..."

Miss, if you weren't so sharp-tongued, I could keep praising you!

Bai Tang's gaze caught Bai Xier passing by the door. The corner of her mouth lifted slightly as she said to Bai Wu, "From what you're saying, it sounds like Zhang Xiaochu actually has some motivation to study."

"Yeah, he promised he'd take the college entrance exam with you," Bai Wu replied.

Suddenly recalling what Zhang Xiaochu had said, Bai Wu asked softly, "Miss, do you want to go to university?"

"What? Did Zhang Xiaochu tell you I want to go to college?"

"Yeah, he said you want to get into A University." Bai Wu pursed his lips, then continued, "If Miss wants to study, go ahead. But I'd still suggest going back to Italy for it—A University has too many inconveniences."

Bai Tang let out a soft laugh. "I was just joking with him, trying to get him to work hard. As for university, we'll talk about that later!"

"I'll hang up now. I've got something to do."

Bai Tang ended the call and immediately got up, heading toward where Bai Xier had just gone.

Bai Xier had barely stepped out of the restroom when a shadow suddenly yanked her toward the rooftop. The moment the rooftop door was locked behind her, Bai Xier finally saw who it was.

"What do you want?" Bai Xier stared at Bai Tang warily.

Now, the door was blocked, and there was no one else on the rooftop. Overwhelming panic left Bai Xier at a loss.

Bai Tang crossed her arms, half-leaning against the wall nearby, and spoke with a faint, mocking smile: "Relax, I just want to have a little chat with you."

"Bai Tang, this is school. What are you trying to do?" Bai Xier struggled to keep her composure, lifting her chin in a warning tone. "If you dare bully me here, the school will expel you!"

Bai Tang smiled lightly. "Hitting you would just hurt my hand. If you really want a beating, you can do it yourself."

"You!" Bai Xier fumed but had to suppress her temper.

"Spill it. Did you stir up all that stuff online?" Bai Tang asked.

A flicker of guilt crossed Bai Xier's face, but she hid it well. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"I'll give you three minutes. Delete those posts and pictures online right now, apologize, and tell the truth. Then I'll let this slide. Otherwise, you'll face the consequences."

"Who do you think you are?" Bai Xier sneered.

Bai Tang stood there, watching the time, ignoring Bai Xier's bluster until the three minutes were up.

"Your chance is gone." Bai Tang's lips curled into a dangerous, wicked smile as she fixed her gaze on the girl.
