Chapter 214: Chapter 214: Turn the Tables

Watching Bai Tang approach step by step, Bai Xi'er retreated in fear until she reached the railing. With nowhere left to go, she gripped the railing tightly and stared at the other girl with dread. "What exactly are you trying to do?"

Terrified, Bai Xi'er almost screamed hysterically, "Are you going to kill me?"

Bai Tang curled her lips into a sinister smile. "I'm a well-rounded model student excelling in morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics, and labor. Killing? That's not something I'd do!"

Despite the seemingly harmless words, Bai Xi'er's heart still raced with unease. Looking at Bai Tang, she felt an inexplicable tightness in her chest.

Bai Tang closed in, reaching out to grab the railing beside her. She cast a casual glance downward, then smiled. "This floor isn't that high—only the seventh. If you accidentally fall and get lucky, you might still survive with your life!"

Bai Xi'er's eyes widened in terror. She shoved Bai Tang away and scrambled to the side. In her panic, she tripped and fell to the ground. The pain from the fall amplified her fear. Climbing to her feet, she glared at Bai Tang, who was slowly advancing, and shouted, "Bai Tang, if you dare touch me, Dad won't let you off!"

Bai Tang raised an eyebrow. She hadn't even done anything yet, had she?

"Do you really think Bai Chengfeng can protect you if I decide to act?" Bai Tang smirked, a roguish grin on her face. "Do you honestly believe Bai Chengfeng has the time or energy to deal with your problems right now?"

Bai Tang's words made Bai Xi'er's face twist in anger because they were true. Lately, Bai Chengfeng had been so busy he didn't come home at night, and when he did, he was exhausted and would take it out on her and her mother.

"What have you done?" Bai Xi'er demanded.

"Hmm..." Bai Tang crossed her arms and smiled lightly. "I'm just making you live a more grounded life."

Bai Xi'er frowned. "What did you do to the company?"

"That's none of your concern!" Bai Tang laughed. "Let's talk about what's happening online instead. How should I deal with you?"

Bai Tang looked at her and asked, "Do you think I should repay you in kind, or should you hit yourself until I'm satisfied?"

Bai Xi'er glared at Bai Tang, saying nothing.

"Since you won't choose, I'll decide for you!" Bai Tang smiled, pulling out her phone. "Let's use your method. Sound good?"

Bai Xi'er stared hard at Bai Tang, refusing to believe she could dig up any dirt on her.

Noticing the disdain in Bai Xi'er's eyes, Bai Tang's lips curved upward slightly. She opened her phone, tapped it a few times, then put it away. Turning back to Bai Xi'er, she smiled warmly. "Come on, let's go to class."

Bai Xi'er looked at her warily. "What did you do?"

Bai Tang chuckled softly. "You'll find out soon enough!"

Without another word to Bai Xi'er, Bai Tang turned and walked away. Class had already been going on for a few minutes, and she needed to attend. Learning was waiting for her attention!

Bai Xi'er watched Bai Tang leave without a fuss, convinced she was just bluffing. She sneered coldly and prepared to leave, but a sharp pain in her knee made her wince. Seeing the scraped skin from her fall, Bai Xi'er's face darkened with fury. She would get revenge for today's humiliation!

After quickly tending to her wound, Bai Xi'er returned to the classroom. Class was already in session, so she made up a small excuse and sat down. Not long after, she noticed several pairs of eyes frequently landing on her. Even her deskmate was staring at her with a strange expression.
